Overview

This tour program is designed for adventure lovers and the fit who want to challenge themselves and conquer the roof of Indochina, Mount Fansipan. You will trek through Sin Chai village, rain forests, streams, and steep slopes, accompanied by porters and a cook. You will reach the summit of Fansipan at 3143 m and enjoy the stunning views of the surroundings. You will also discover the rich flora and fauna of the area. The tour includes transportation, meals, guide service, and camping equipment.


* Notes:

  • Advised to take good walking shoes, raincoats, jackets, torch, insect repellent, and Sunscreen.
  • The best season to climb the Fansipan Peak is from mid-September to mid-April when the weather is dry and not too cold. October and November are considered the ideal months for climbing Fansipan, as you can enjoy the clear sky, the cool temperature, and the blooming of Do Quyen flowers. The coldest months are December and January when there is a chance of snow and frost. The rainy season from May to August is not recommended for climbing Fansipan, as the trails can be slippery and muddy, and the visibility can be poor.

Itinerary

(Time schedule: 6 -7 hours of trekking )
Pick up by our tourist bus from the bus/ train station, then transfer to the office in Sapa for leaving the luggage before starting your trek around 9h00, depart from Sapa with our team (porters and cook) towards Sin Chai Valley, where you will trek through Sin Chai village inhabited by the Black Hmong ethnic, you will have chance to visit a traditional house, enjoy their welcome tea, and see the people coloring, weaving their clothes, etc. before you cross a suspension bridge, and start climbing up into the forests.

Keep climbing for approx 3 hours, we get out of the rain forest, and enjoy fantastic views over the valley, towards Sapa town and it’s a good time for a delicious lunch served by our cook. In the afternoon, trek up and down mountains, cross rain forests and nice streams before arriving at the campsite (at an altitude of 2,000m) where our porters put up the camps for your comfort and the cook is busy for dinner. Enjoy a delicious dinner nearby the wood fire in the nocturnal nature symphony.

After the early morning coffee and breakfast, start climbing upwards to the summit, conquering some very steep slopes before reaching the top(at the altitude of 3143m). Celebrating the victory on the Indochina roof, enjoy stunning views towards spectacular surroundings (China, Laos, Sapa town) while having lunch. Spend approx 4 hours to get back to the campsite where we will celebrate again our victory.

(Time schedule: 5 - 6 hours of trekking )
Enjoy quiet nature melodies with the morning coffee, while the porters and cook take down the tents, packing them. After a delicious breakfast, start descending through the rain forest, the discovery of rich flora and fauna. Break time for lunch on the way, you will cross some nice streams and the waterfall, its possible to enjoy a nice swim if it’s sunny, then keep trekking to heaven gate where you will take a short transport by car/minivan to go back to Sapa. Tranfer to Lai Cai station night train to HN.
