Overview

This tour program is designed for adventure lovers and the fit who want to challenge themselves and conquer the roof of Indochina, Mount Fansipan. You will trek through pine and bamboo forests, streams, and ridges, enjoying the stunning views of the valleys and mountains. You will reach the summit of Fansipan at 3143 m and celebrate your achievement. You will also discover the diverse flora and fauna of the area. The tour includes transportation, meals, guide service, and overnight at a base camp.


* Notes:

  • Advised to take good walking shoes, raincoats, jackets, torch, insect repellent, and Sunscreen.
  • The best season to climb the Fansipan Peak is from mid-September to mid-April when the weather is dry and not too cold. October and November are considered the ideal months for climbing Fansipan, as you can enjoy the clear sky, the cool temperature, and the blooming of Do Quyen flowers. The coldest months are December and January when there is a chance of snow and frost. The rainy season from May to August is not recommended for climbing Fansipan, as the trails can be slippery and muddy, and the visibility can be poor.

Itinerary

(Time schedule: 6-7 hours of trekking )
Pick up from the train/bus station or at your hotel in Sapa center, then transfer to Sapa for your breakfast(on your own charge) and the shower before starting the Fansipan trek around 8h45 AM.
A short drive to the Tram Tom Pass, which is the starting point for the ascent of Mount Fansipan. You‘ll trek through rainforests of pine and bamboo along the nice streams. After a picnic lunch, you continue your adventure trek on a ridge of the mountain and enjoy the panoramic views over the valleys. You have a chance to discover the variety of the fauna and flora of the area. Arriving at base camp in the late afternoon. Time to relax, then enjoy your dinner and overnight at 2,800 m.

After breakfast, then you will start your trek crossing bamboo forests before reaching the summit where the vegetation is a little rare. At the top, you could celebrate your victory over the roof of Indochina. Great views over the valleys of Sapa and Lai Chau. You can even see the high mountains of the Yunan Province of China. Picnic lunch and then keep going down to the Tram Ton where the van will be waiting to take you back to Sapa. Time for a hot shower and relaxation before going to the train station to Hanoi.
